In June, 2005 the Coddington Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation joined together to make a young persons wish come true. That person is a 17 year old young man named Max Cohen. Max was contacted and asked if he would like to design and help build a Boyd Coddington Hot Rod, and with his passion for cars he jumped at the opportunity. On his first visit with Boyd and Jo, Max chose the car of his dreams, a 1963 Dodge Polara named "Max Hemi". He finished out his day by choosing the colors and drivetrain. Max returned to California a number of times during the build to assist the guys in the shop preparing the "Max Hemi" for it's debut at a fund raiser for the Coddington Foundation. Max's zest for life, positive outlook and passion for hot rods was and is an inspiration to all of us at Boyd Coddington's Garage, he made our wish come true.
